Leadership Role in Quality Management

This leadership role is responsible for leading the quality organization for Wencor's Distribution / PMA businesses, with particular focus and commitment to the organization's core values and ensuring we meet our mission of ensuring each flight is safe and cost-effective daily.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities :

• Ensure organization's adherence to a Quality Management System (QMS) for multiple facilities, acting as a Management Representative for QMS; ensure that the QMS conforms to the requirements of the international standard.
• Participate in internal and external (regulatory and certification) quality audits.
• Design, implement and document procedures for process control, process improvement, testing and inspection including oversight of calibration and testing programs; establish and implement metrics / statistics for monitoring the quality team's effectiveness and to enable team members to make sound product quality decisions using predictive trend data.
• Serve as primary quality control resource for problem identification, resolution, loss reporting, counter-measures, and continuous improvement. Perform root-cause analysis and other problem-solving activities to identify effective corrective actions and process improvements.
• Initiate and implement quality continuous improvement activities as appropriate (e.g. Kaizen, Six Sigma) to raise the performance of the company's product lines through the quality system in support of our customers' and business needs.
• Supports concurrent engineering efforts by participating in design development projects representing quality assurance and the customer.
• Lead and oversee supplier quality engineering team to establish and monitor vendor performance to Wencor terms and conditions.
• Manage the employees in the Quality Department, including interviewing and hiring, performance management, and training of employees.
• All other reasonable duties, as assigned.
