Compensation and Benefits

Anticipated Hiring Salary Range : $10,000 - $11,666 per month

Full CSU Classification Salary Range : $5,053 - $16,221 per month

Salary is competitive and negotiable depending on the strength of qualifications. This is a CSU Management Personnel Plan (MPP) position.

Benefits include medical, dental, vision plans, membership in CalPERS, sick and vacation time, 15 paid holidays, and participation in the fee waiver education program.

Job Summary

The Director of Financial Aid and Scholarships provides strategic leadership, administrative oversight, and policy direction for the Office of Financial Aid and Scholarships. This position ensures compliance with federal, state, CSU, and institutional regulations and supports student access and success through equitable distribution of financial resources. The Director works collaboratively across campus to support enrollment management goals and fosters a student-centered service model.

Key Qualifications

• Ability to facilitate group participation, consensus building and foster employee development through coaching, counseling, and training.
• Maintain compliance with federal, state, campus, and CSU System regulatory and statutory policies, procedures and programs.
• Exercise sound administrative judgment and initiative in developing new methods and procedures and in solving difficult personnel problems.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills to conduct financial aid presentations in group settings and individually.
• Demonstrated ability to effectively organize and manage work in a fast-paced, team-based environment while maintaining flexibility in response to constantly shifting priorities.
• Review and evaluate program service delivery methods and systems, including administrative and support systems and internal relationships, to identify opportunities for improvement and implement changes to standard operating procedures.

The Office of Financial Aid and Scholarships provides student access to post-secondary education and supports the University's enrollment efforts by administering and / or coordinating all student financial aid programs at California State University, Fresno.
