POSITION SUMMARY :

The Medical Phone Operator is responsible for the efficient handling of incoming telephone calls; accurate scheduling of patient visits that contributes to the maintenance of health providers daily schedules.

What you will be doing

  • Answers telephone calls from patients and schedule appointments as necessary.
  • Consistently exhibits behavior and communication skills that demonstrate commitment to superior customer service, including quality, care, and concern with each and every internal and external customer.
  • Handles all phases of telephone communications, including scheduling in-office appointments.
  • Routes all calls to appropriate departments, takes accurate and neat messages, and forwards them promptly.
  • All other duties as assigned.

What you will bring to the team

  • Excellent telephone etiquette
  • High School diploma or equivalent required
  • 2 years experience in the medical field required
  • Experience lead role in similar office or medical setting preferred
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
