Position Summary :

The Fieldwork Coordinator for Education is responsible for developing strong community relationships and coordinating the education clinical placements .

This position requires significant contact with students, faculty, and K12 schools to ensure that each Mount Mary University student receives quality fieldwork education.

Primary Responsibilities :

  • Collaborate with Chair and course instructors to secure and maintain clinical sites for education students
  • Communicate placement details to student teacher candidates, field experience candidates, cooperating teachers / administrators (mentors), district offices, college instructors, and college supervisors.
  • Prepare materials for field placements
  • Establish and maintain clinical contracts , contacts, and related documents
  • Follow up with K12 school cooperating teachers to monitor and document student progress
  • Visit field sites as needed to monitor student progress in collaboration with Chair, maintain compliance with WDPI accreditation standards for clinical placements
  • Collaborate with Chair to complete annual data collection as part of annual program review
  • Perform other duties, responsibilities, or special projects as assigned

Skills and Experience :

  • Bachelor's degree in Education
  • Minimum of 3 years licensed teaching experience in K12 schools
  • Outstanding verbal, written, and presentation skills including the ability to work with diverse groups
  • Ability to work collaboratively as a member of professional and community groups
