First Class Pipe Welder

ATSS has a client in Mobile, AL that will be in need of Pipe Welders.

The following is required of all levels :

• The ability to understand directions and follow instructions.
• Cuts, fits, and welds pipe for marine piping systems.
• Personally, signs QA documents for pipe joint fit up and weld requirements.
• Personally, signs for completeness of work in work packages.
• Torch cuts pipe clean and true
• Welds pipe without leaks in positions with minimal clearance
• Determines job sites, particularly those involving combustible material, are safe for personnel and, when required, hot work
• Creates and maintains a work site that is compliant with safety and quality regulations and policies.
• Read and interpret weld symbols or blueprints, schematics, and job specifications
• Working knowledge of the use and limitations of 6011, 6010, and 7018 (Stick Welding) and / or sil-braze rods
• Must complete a practical exam that includes the administrative functions.
• May be assigned to work any shift.

• 6 SCH 80 C / S Pipe 6G Position - 6010 Root- FCAW Cap
• 6 SCH 80 S.S. Pipe 6G Position - 316 S.S. Root and Cap
