Regional Sales Manager, SurgeX

We're looking for a Regional Sales Manager to drive growth and deliver exceptional audio-visual (AV) solutions across the Southeast U.S. for our SurgeX brand. The ideal candidate for this sales representative role will have a high sense of urgency to create the best possible customer experience. The sales representative will have a strong understanding of the sales process and excel at generating leads, building relationships, and closing deals. The ideal candidate will have excellent organization, communication, and written skills and exhibit attention to detail. Problem solving, excellent judgment, confidentiality, and the ability to manage multiple projects with a "can do" attitude are key strengths that will ensure success in this high-profile sales position.

Key responsibilities include :

  • Leading sales efforts across the Southeast region, managing relationships with new and existing partners
  • Conducting product and sales training for independent reps and client teams (sales, engineering, executive)
  • Identifying client training needs and maintaining ongoing communication to ensure and facilitate sales of multiple products through calls and personal visits
  • Developing marketing strategy and tactical plans aligned with business objectives. Providing sales management information to independent rep force. Providing analysis and marketing / training assessment needs to support SurgeX sales plans.
  • Maintaining customer database and prioritizing activities to meet monthly goals
  • May participate as a speaker in seminars / training sessions of sales representatives, technical teams, or at industry events as needed
  • Working with senior management to define and execute plans for outreach to end users to pull sales through the existing dealer network
  • Managing our buying group's day-to-day business
  • Participating in regional and national buying group events
  • Travel is expected to be 50-75%

Minimum qualifications include :

  • Bachelor's degree or 10+ years of relevant experience in lieu of degree
  • 5+ years of audio-visual (AV) industry sales experience
  • Customer relationship management (CRM) system experience for pipelines and reporting
  • Experience with distribution channels
  • Experience using data to forecast trends and adjust tactics proactively
  • Desired qualifications include :

  • Lives in the Southeast U.S.
  • Bachelor's degree in a technical field
  • Salesforce experience
  • Ability to build strong relationships with key accounts and stakeholders
  • Excellent verbal and written communication
  • Strong interpersonal skills to build rapport
  • Proficiency in industry technology, including current control systems
  • Strong organizational skills to manage independent rep force
  • Organizational skills and effective time management to succeed in a fast-paced environment
