Requirements
- Monitor the quality of ready-mix concrete production from production plant to jobsite.
- Ability to perform air content, slump, unit weight testing and casting of cylinders.
- Ability to perform general mathematic equations.
- General computer literacy by today’s standards
- Ability to lift 50lbs, bend, kneel, stand, and otherwise move unencumbered.
- Ability to use a wheelbarrow.
- Ability to climb stairs, ladders, and varying jobsite terrain.
- Ability to spend 90% of the workday outside in all weather conditions.
- Prepare daily field reports and test summaries documenting work.
- Follow daily scheduled assignments and variable start times - Must be available for early am start times, overnight work, weekends, and overtime as needed.
- Communicate regularly with batching and dispatching personnel, sales representatives, drivers, contractors, and customers.
- Work in a fast-paced environment with a sense of urgency.
- Applicants must possess a clean driving record.
Desired Experience
- 2+ years of experience with testing ready mix concrete
- A.C.I Field Technician Grade 1 a plus, but not required.
- Coarse and Fine aggregate gradation testing
