Security Officer - Petrochemical Front Desk

As a security officer in Pasadena, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as chemical / petrochemical, and more. As a front desk security professional with Allied Universal at a major chemical and petrochemical location, you will be the first point of contact, greeting visitors and supporting access control procedures. You will provide exceptional customer service, communicate clearly with guests and staff, and help to deter security-related incidents by maintaining a visible, professional presence in the lobby area. Pay Rate : $17.00 / Hour

Mon 03 : 00 PM - 11 : 00 PM

Tue 03 : 00 PM - 11 : 00 PM

Wed 03 : 00 PM - 11 : 00 PM

Thur 03 : 00 PM - 11 : 00 PM

Fri 03 : 00 PM - 11 : 00 PM

What You'll Do :

  • Greet and assist employees, visitors, and / or contractors at the front desk, providing a welcoming and professional first point of contact for the location.
  • Monitor access control systems and verify credentials to help to deter unauthorized entry to restricted areas within the chemical or petrochemical environment.
  • Follow site-specific security-related procedures and protocols, maintaining a strong awareness of the unique needs of a chemical or petrochemical location.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following Allied Universal and client procedures.
  • Document and report all observed security-related incidents, activities, and / or irregularities according to site and company guidelines.
  • Communicate clearly and professionally with site personnel and Allied Universal management regarding security-related matters and / or concerns.
  • Provide customer service by addressing inquiries, offering information, and assisting with directions or site-specific protocols as needed.
  • Support emergency response activities as directed by site-specific procedures and Allied Universal protocols.

    • Minimum Requirements :

  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Must have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and / or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
