Job Summary :

Establish files, create and update databases, perform clerical duties and participate in special projects to contribute to efficient department service.

Principal Duties & Responsibilities :

Process proposals received by pouch, facsimile and email from the field offices on a daily basis by maintaining a tracking log, setting up proposals on the electronic rating system (OPUS), preparing manual files, and sorting and delivering the proposals to the appropriate regional underwriting teams within established time frame.

Serve as a resource to internal and external customers. Perform special projects as requested. Maintain effective working relationship with the field force, home office underwriters through proactive communication and problem resolution related to proposal set ups.

Monitor workload and redistribute items as needed within the team to maintain timeliness goals. Maintain procedural manual and provide training within current team to ensure back up is available if necessary.

Requirements :

  • High School Diploma.
  • 1 year experience within a professional office setting.
  • 6 months working knowledge of insurance proposals.
  • Beginning level of proficiency of Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook

Please note - the salary range for this role is listed below. In addition to salary, our package includes incentive plan participation and comprehensive benefits including medical, dental, vision and retirement benefits, as well as an initial PTO accrual of 164 hours per year.

Employees also receive 11 paid holidays and 2 wellness days per year.

Eligibility to participate in an incentive program is subject to the rules governing the program and plan. Any award depends on various factors, including individual and organizational performance.
