Job Summary : The Rochester Educational Opportunity Center (REOC), part of SUNY Brockport, is accepting applications for a Healthcare Lecturer.

The major responsibilities of this role will include but are not limited to teaching twenty contact hours per week, which includes classroom, lab, and clinical instruction.

The person in this role will review and plan course content as well as preparing all lesson plans. They will also evaluate student performance and engage in academic advisement and counseling. Minimum Qualifications :

  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing by time of appointment from a college or university accredited by the U.S. Department of Education or an internationally recognized college or university, or are actively pursuing study in nursing.
  • Current unencumbered New York State RN license.
  • Successful experience working with an economically and culturally diverse population.
  • Demonstrated experience in training / teaching and classroom management.

Preferred Qualifications :

Master’s Degree in Nursing Education or a related field by time of appointment from a college or university accredited by the U.

S. Department of Education or an internationally recognized college or university.

  • Demonstrated experience in acute medical surgical nursing and long-term care.
  • Experience teaching practical nursing.
  • Experience teaching adult learners.

Work Schedule : Monday - Friday Salary and Benefits : The Minimum Salary for this position is $55,899.
