Energy Associate

Gibson Arnold and Associates is looking for an attorney with 3+ years of experience in a sophisticated law firm environment for an AmLaw 100 law firm based in their Denver office.

The ideal candidate will possess experience managing complex energy and natural resource transactional work (M&A, project development and commercial agreements), experience with renewable energy transactional work (M&A, joint ventures, build-transfer agreements, commercial agreements such as PPAs, O&M Agreements, Shared Facilities Agreements, and procurement contracts for equipment and materials), experience with conventional energy and natural resources transactional work, including oil and gas, experience with engineering, procurement and construction contracts for renewable energy generating facilities is advantageous but not a requirement, and experience with financing transactions in the energy and natural resources sector is advantageous but not a requirement.

Responsibilities may include Managing complex transactions on tight time frames, including interacting with subject matter experts in other disciplines and local counsel, and supervision of junior lawyers and legal support staff, the candidate must enjoy challenges, seek out responsibility, appreciate the importance of attention to detail and be effective at interacting with variety of clients and colleagues, and other requirements include excellent interpersonal skills, strong work ethic and the ability to manage multiple priorities and assume a high degree of responsibility.

This position is available in Chicago, Il, Denver, CO, Kansas City, MO, and St. Louis, MO.

Salary range is $215,000 $315,000.
