Control Engineer

This position requires knowledge of Automation Controls and their application in the Food Processing Industry using traditional PLC and Model Predictive Controls.

The company has been in business since 1950 and is a world leader in modernized processing equipment.

There will be up to 35% travel to commission new solutions.

Requirements

• AS or BS in Engineering
• Electrical engineer experience
• Understand Fluid and Temperature dynamics.
• Experience in programming PLC systems from scratch (RedLion, Allen Bradley & Siemens )
• Experience with AutoCAD, SCADA, or MES systems is a plus.
• Ability to travel up to 35%

Responsibilities

• Develop Model Predictive Control (not MPC) process for the Food and Snack Industry.
• Develop PLC controls for food processes, product handling, and packaging equipment.
• Supervise partners that are working on the MPC solutions.
• Maintain awareness of industry trends and techniques around MPC.
• Commission system, train operators and plant engineers about the equipment or system controls.
• Travel about 35% of the time for commissioning
