Adjunct Faculty Positions in the Department of Biostatistics
Position description
Applications are invited for an open rank non-tenure-track / adjunct faculty position in the Department of Biostatistics in the UCLA Jonathan and Karin Fielding School of Public Health ().
We seek an excellent candidate with a strong track record or evidence of outstanding potential for collaborative biostatistical research, obtaining external funding, teaching, and contributing to our commitment to diversity and excellence.
We are looking for expertise in the broad areas of statistics / biostatistics and data science, with applications to diverse areas including, but not limited to, ophthalmology, psychiatry, omics, neurosciences, public health and other health sciences.
We welcome candidates whose experience in teaching, research, or community service has prepared them to contribute to our commitment to diversity and excellence.
The Fielding School of Public Health is located on the main UCLA campus in direct proximity to the other health sciences schools (Medicine, Dentistry, and Nursing), several professional schools, and the College of Letters and Science.
The UCLA Department of Biostatistics has a strong history of and commitment to interdisciplinary research and collaboration.
Candidates should hold a PhD or equivalent in Statistics, Biostatistics or a related quantitative field, show evidence of excellence or outstanding potential in collaborative research, obtaining extramural support, teaching, a strong record of peer-reviewed publications, and a demonstrated commitment to applications in the health sciences.
Faculty appointment level and salary will be commensurate with the candidate’s experience and qualifications.
