Family / Removal Paralegal

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Paralegal to join our team and support attorneys working on removal defense and immigration litigation. Our firm is currently engaged in litigation on multiple fronts defending immigrants' rights, by challenging the unlawful actions that threaten our clients. We are looking for individuals who want to join that fight now - when the need is most critical.

Duties and Responsibilities :

• Support attorneys handling removal defense and litigation before the Immigration Courts, the Board of Immigration Appeals, and federal courts
• Communicate with clients regarding procedural and case processing issues, assisting with the review of cases
• Oversee the status of cases through utilization of case management and billing systems
• Prepare filings for Adjustment of Status, Asylum, Naturalization, and other administrative applications before the Department of Home Security (USCIS, CBP, ICE) and U.S Department of State, and defensive applications for relief before the Immigration Courts
• Follow internal intake procedures after client retains our firm
