Reports To : Director, Client Accounting

Primary Function : Maintain financial statements for commercial and multifamily real estate properties

Education : BS Degree in Accounting, CPA preferred. Minimum five years' work-related experience

Qualifications : Accounting experience including financial statement reporting, bank reconciliations and journal entries.

Strong excel and accounting system skills are required. Real estate experience a plus.

Responsibilities :

  • Prepare monthly financial statements & supporting schedules
  • Practical understanding of accounting principles
  • Monthly bankreconciliations, research and resolve reconciling items
  • Mortgage escrow account r econciliations
  • Journal entries, includingaccruals, depreciation andamortization, etc.
  • Balance sheet reconciliations
  • Record transactions from a closing statement
  • Calculate distributions toowners
  • Monitor cash flow and accountspayable
  • Validate / calculate monthly management fee calculation
  • Assist owners with year-end audit / taxreporting
  • Assist with the onboarding of new properties, record activity from prior manager, monitor utility, mortgage, and other sensitive vendor
  • Monthly bank reconciliations for master accounts and resolution of reconciling items
  • Special projects
  • Train and support accounting team members
