Summary :
The Employment Specialist is responsible for maintaining up to date personnel, health and computer files and performing administrative tasks as assigned.
Education and Experience
Associate in business administration preferred.
High school diploma or equivalent is required.
At least two years’ experience in business or secretarial work, in Human Resources preferred.

Essential Functions

Displays a high degree of courtesy, tact, and knowledge of services provided by the agency in all contact with staff, patients, and visitors.Ensures that all employees participate appropriately in the new employee orientation and ensures that all required paperwork is completed timely according to state and federal regulations.Ensures that all employees / hospice volunteers are following state and federal regulations and ensures that all employee / hospice volunteer files contain at least minimum requirements as outlined in policy.Responsible for typing, filing, and distributing correspondence and other written materials as requested.Responsible for preparing and forwarding the "New Hire" information to the North Carolina New Hire Reporting Directory bi-weekly.Maintains a cooperative and productive relationship with all staff, helping when needed.Assists in the coordination of employee relations programs to include Employee Appreciation Day, holiday parties, Service recognition, etc.Responsible for adding team members, volunteers, and contract employees inHRMS-ADP on a timely basis.
Responsible for maintaining and updating the Employee Self Service (ESS) module as needed.Notifies supervisor of any outstanding information. Ensure that outstanding information is received.Ensures that the Human Resources Director is kept informed of problems and progress in the department.Maintains CONFIDENTIALITY of all personnel and Agency information.Responds appropriately and promptly to specific projects requested by the Human Resources Director.Demonstrates an interest in personal and professional growth for self and staff. Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommends best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance.Demonstrates a willingness to be cost effective in the use of agency resources, the monitoring of waste, and the proper and safe use of supplies and equipment.Adheres to 3HC's Personnel Policy and performs other appropriate duties as assigned by supervisor to promote successful operations and future growth of 3HC.Compassionate Care is our Calling
