OVERVIEW

The Solutions Engineer will contribute to the design, development, testing, maintenance, support, and deployment of systems related to document practice management.

Under the direction of the Senior Manager of Knowledge Systems, the Solutions Engineer will bring innovation to various document and practice management systems implementations, as well as leverage strong technical knowledge to provide day-to-day support to the Firm’s end users.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Participates in the design, coding, testing, maintenance, support, and deployment of all scripts related to relevant systems / projects;
  • Performs scheduled and ad-hoc analysis as needed;
  • Enters pertinent information into our process mapping / data governance application;
  • Identifies, reviews, and responds to backend dataflow issues;
  • Provides feedback regarding system and workflow improvements and developments;
  • Performs back-end global support and maintenance for all relevant applications, such as the document management system, threat detection system and collaboration platforms;
  • Escalates complex system issues to vendors and ensures timely resolutions;
  • Maintains relationships with vendors and develops knowledge to support vendor systems;
  • Creates and maintains documentation that supports current and future applications;
  • Works with internal teams and vendors to develop knowledge solutions; and
  • Performs other duties, as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in Computer Science or related field; advanced degree preferred;
  • At least two (2) years of relevant experience, preferably within a law firm or professional services organization;
  • Demonstrated ability to write and read MS SQL scripts required;
  • Knowledge of iManage, SharePoint or similar document management systems preferred;
  • Previous experience providing IT application support to users;
  • Prior experience with any or all of the following technologies is a plus : IntApp Integration Builder, IntApp Walls, Matter Team Manager, and Activity Tracker, Threat Manager and / or SPM, Decisiv Search, IntApp Intake, and SharePoint;
  • Ability to analyze row data and present to management in a clear and concise manner;
  • Ability to listen, understand and respond to issues;
  • Ability to communicate issues and processes with clarity;
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills;
  • Experience working with people of varying levels of seniority and technical expertise;
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills;
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment; resilient and calm under pressure;
  • Exceptional attention to detail;
  • Highly motivated with a can-do approach;
  • Collaborative and team-oriented with a strong sense of collective responsibility;
  • Dedicated to continuous learning and skill-building, seeking out opportunities to develop new skills; and
  • Availability to work additional hours, as needed.

This position is located in our New York office, and currently has a hybrid work schedule, but that is subject to change.

The estimated salary range for this position is $95,000 to $120,000. The actual salary offered will be based on a wide range of factors, including relevant skills, training, experience, education, and where applicable, licensure or certification obtained.
