Seeking an energetic , playful full time pediatric occupational therapist for our private outpatient clinic located in Lafayette, Louisiana.
Someone with experience with children is preferred, but previous experience in a pediatric setting is not mandatory. Our clinic values life-long learning, so a desire to continue learning is a must.
Responsibilities
Evaluate and treat children ages 0-21 with a variety of developmental disabilities, learning disorders, and genetic disorders, using sensory processing and DIR frames of reference, the BOT-2, PDMS-2, Sensory Processing Measure-2, TVPS-4, VMI.
Caseload expectations of clinicians are less than 70%, allowing for time to communicate with caregivers, teachers, and other professionals involved in the client's care.
Our occupational therapists work closely with our speech-language pathologists and feeding therapists. Opportunities for in-house mentorships are available for Sensory Processing Disorders, DIR / Floortime, and feeding.
Qualifications
Degree in Occupational Therapy; Certification through the NBCOT; license from the Louisiana State Board of Medical Examiners to practice as an occupational therapist.
