The Westin Houston Downtown is part of the Landry's Hotel Division is conveniently located across the street from Minute Maid Park and near many of Houston's attractions, including the George R. Brown Convention Center.

The Cocktail Server will provide timely, courteous service, ensuring excellence in guest satisfaction.

Employees are eligible to receive up to 2 tickets for Rockets home games during the season.

Essential Duties & Functions :

• Ensure guest satisfaction by providing attentive, friendly, and courteous service
• Meticulous knowledge of cocktail / food menus, upselling and promoting specials
• Communicate orders clearly with bar and kitchen staff
• Complete opening / closing checklist according to standards
• Keep lounge area clean and immaculate at all times
• Follows all cash handling policies and prepares closing report for night audit

Requirements :

• 1 year Server experience preferred
• High School diploma or equivalent and / or experience in a hotel or a related field
• Ability to multi task
• Excellent people skills
• Flexibility in work schedule
• Ability to show initiative in job performance, including anticipating what needs to be done before it becomes a necessity
• Full knowledge of state liquor laws
