Description

Northrop Grumman CIDO – Database Operations has an immediate need for a SQL Server Database Administrator. The DBA will provide MS SQL Server database support for business application systems, primarily inside closed areas in Melbourne, FL. The position expects the application of technical solutions to complex problems with substantial latitude for technical objectives. Completed work is reviewed from a long-term perspective. The DBA may create standards and / or do modeling to monitor and enhance capacity and performance.

Primary Duties

• Perform database maintenance tasks to support application changes and ensure integrity and efficient performance of the databases (backup, recovery, migration, space management, structural changes, performance tuning).
• Participate in the research and resolution of database problems.
• Research and install DBMS software packages.
• Document and improve work processes.
• Provide thorough coordination with customers, application developers, customers, and other IT groups.
