Job Brief

Kable Workforce Solutions is hiring a Shipping & Receiving Clerk. Responsibilities include inspecting purchased items, loading and unloading trucks with forklifts or cranes, packing items for shipment, maintaining stock records, and performing cycle counts. You’ll also help keep the stockroom organized and may assist with training new team members.

What’s a Typical Day Like?

• Maintain control over stock room, by issuing needed material to employees upon proper request, and to monitor quantities to be sure that needed parts do not get too low.
• Job also involves receiving incoming shipments from vendors and customers supplied inventory.
• Receive and inspect purchased items to purchase order per the purchasing procedure.
• Pick up and / or deliver documents as directed.
• Receive and issue items from stock.
• Load and unload trucks using forklift equipment and / or crane.
• Pack and prepare items and / or equipment for shipment.
• Perform cycle counts and maintain stock records as directed. Requisition purchased items to maintain minimal stocking levels.
• Maintain stockroom and work area in a clean and orderly fashion.
• Maintain records of left over or returned material.
• Other functions as directed.
• May assist in training of temporary / new employees.
