Material Handling Laborer (Ammunition Residue Yard - ARY Residue)

Responsibilities :

The Material Handling Laborer is assigned to the Residue Section of the Ammunition Residue Yard (ARY). Under the

guidance of a Warehouse Specialist Lead, the Material Handling Laborer performs tasks of receiving, inspecting, and

screening expended brass from the customer. Additional duties include, but are not limited to, manually unloading

extended brass off of military trucks, or other transporting devices; separating brass and ranging residue by type,

screening brass for unfired primers and live rounds, placing empty brass already screened into designated containers and

cleaning area following completion of screening.

Work environment includes periodic overtime, exposure to heat, dust, cold,and inclement weather conditions.

Hourly Compensation : $13.31

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications :

  • Knowledge of U.S. Army logistical functions
  • Ability to obtain a NAC-I and a CAC
  • Ability to pass Pre-Employment Drug Test and Background Screening
  • High School Diploma / GED
  • Physical requirements include (but are not limited to) the ability to lift 50 pounds, pushing, pulling, carrying, stooping,

bending, squatting, reaching, and mowing grass.

  • Ability to work outside in all types of weather.
  • You must be able to meet all health requirements, including but not limited to, current and future vaccination requirements for infectious diseases such as COVID-19.

Desired Qualifications :

  • 2+ years of experience in material handling
  • Ammo-45 Introduction to Ammunition certification
  • Valid drivers license
