Job Summary :
The Quality Control Technician I is responsible for providing quality control services to ensure high-quality Client products are produced efficiently and safely. This role involves performing laboratory testing on raw materials and finished goods, maintaining equipment and documentation, handling hazardous materials, and ensuring compliance with environmental, health, and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities :
- Perform routine and non-routine quality testing on raw materials, intermediates, and finished products following established SOPs.
- Monitor and analyze daily production data from ballistics and fiber laboratories to identify trends and potential issues.
- Participate in quality investigations and ensure timely completion of assigned corrective actions.
- Prepare, review, and approve production and operating records as required.
- Maintain laboratory equipment and ensure all procedures and policies are followed for safety and compliance.
- Suggest process improvements to enhance quality, safety, and production efficiency.
- Follow hazardous waste handling, disposal, and storage procedures in compliance with environmental regulations.
- Communicate effectively with production technicians regarding procedure updates or compliance changes.
- Support final packaging and documentation of finished products when required.
- Participate in operational excellence initiatives and SAP-related roles as assigned.
- Maintain annual training requirements related to hazardous waste and general safety awareness.
Required Skills :
Strong understanding of quality control procedures and laboratory testing methods.Effective verbal and written communication skills; ability to train and collaborate with production teams.Knowledge of environmental and safety regulations related to fiber and manufacturing operations.Strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting abilities.Ability to work independently and handle hazardous materials safely.Proficiency in using data analysis and documentation tools.Education :
Bachelor’s degree in a related technical field with 1 year of quality or production experience;ORAssociate’s degree in a related technical field with 2 years of quality or production experience;OR3 years of relevant quality and / or production experience.
Experience :
Experience in laboratory testing, production quality, or manufacturing environments preferred.
Experience with hazardous waste handling and documentation is beneficial.
Familiarity with SAP and continuous improvement processes is an advantage.
Education : Bachelors Degree
