Job Description

Territory Sales Manager

New York City, Northern New Jersey, Long Island areas

Base Yearly Salary :    $75,000     ( Plus Commissions, approximately 125K first year)

Well established company providing sales and services for the recycling and waste handling equipment industry is looking for a Territory Sales Manager to join their successful team for the Northern NJ, NY and Long Island areas.

  • Responsible for cold calling, developing new leads bringing in new business

from Northern New Jersey, New York, and Long Island

  • Responsible for identifying, prospecting, and cultivating relationships with
  • new customers

  • Prospect potential customers through research, calling and trade shows
  • Responsible for building rapport and trust with existing clients
  • Must be able to close new accounts and maintain existing accounts through
  • phone and in person follow up

  • Effectively communicate the strategic advantages to customers and
  • maintain close communication to ensure customer satisfaction is maximized

  • Possess the ability to influence and collaborate to accomplish goals
  • Effectively manage own projects and process with support from corporate
  • office

  • This role works closely with the National Sales Manager and President
  • to ensure strategic plans are consistent with company goals

    Requirements

  • Must have 3+ years’ experience of industrial equipment sales with
  • proven success

  • Strong mechanical aptitude is required for this role
  • Project Management or Engineering experience a plus
  • This role requires 75% daily travel with occasional overnights
  • Must be of high integrity, entrepreneurial, highly self-motivated, one who
  • takes initiative, a go-getter

  • Solid experience at developing, cultivating and maintaining relationships
  • Ability to influence and collaborate to accomplish goals
  • Possesses outstanding organizational and time management skills, superior
  • communication skills

  • Solid Microsoft Office skills
