Job Summary

Under minimum supervision, the Senior Equipment Tech-Lead oversees and responds to calls for respiratory therapy equipment and compressed gas cylinders needs throughout the hospital. Responsible for the delivery of compressed gas cylinders, maintenance of respiratory care equipment and support of the respiratory care services staff. Oversees and indirectly manages student tech activities within the department. Ensures that all tech services are delivered in accordance with the mission statement and SPIRIT values of Carroll Hospital Center. Under minimal supervision, performs a variety of administrative, secretarial and complex clerical duties for the team. Follows complex oral and written instructions, uses independent judgment and word processing software, follows established office procedures and is familiar with departmental and hospital policies. Performs various clerical and administrative duties depending on administrator needs which may include collecting and preparing data for management assignments, reports and presentations and assisting with monitoring department QI / PI initiatives. Appropriately direct calls, takes accurate messages or responds to calls by utilizing knowledge of policies procedures and practices. Works to support audiovisual needs of the dept and produces educational videos and PowerPoints for staff meetings, educational events and QI / PI tracking initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Deliver compressed gas cylinders, maintain respiratory care equipment and support respiratory care services staff.
• Oversee and indirectly manage student tech activities within the department; ensure services align with the organization\'s mission and SPIRIT values.
• Perform administrative, secretarial and clerical duties; follow complex instructions; use independent judgment and standard office software; adhere to departmental and hospital policies.
• Collect and prepare data for management assignments, reports and presentations; assist with monitoring department QI / PI initiatives.
• Direct calls, take messages, and respond according to policies and procedures; support audiovisual needs and produce educational materials for staff meetings and QI / PI tracking.
