This position performs custodial work and serves as a lead worker for an assigned squad of B&G Workers, whose primary purpose is to provide quality cleaning services to the University of Minnesota, Twin Cities Campus. The Sr B&G Worker assumes overall responsibility for the performance and functions of the squad assigned through training, direction, follow-up, and support while remaining in coordination with the supervisor. This is not a supervisory role and does not include performing any disciplinary actions.
Responsibilities
Essential Functions of Position
Have a high standard of quality expectation and an ability to see deficiencies. Perform assigned custodial duties per standards - including snow shoveling and de-icing. Provide support, training, and work direction to others. Follow and uphold University policies and procedures. Assist in sustaining a culture of respect and accountability. Maintain regular attendance. This job may be designated as essential. The employer retains the right to change or assign other duties to this position.
Work Environment / Physical Requirements
Climbing, stooping, kneeling, walking, lifting, pushing, pulling, grasping, and talking. Subject to environmental conditions and activities that occur both inside and outside. Ability to lift 50 pounds.

Pay and Benefits
Pay Range : $22.17-$27.10; depending on education / qualifications / experience.
Time Appointment Category : 75%-100% Appointment.
Position Type : Civil-Service & Non-Faculty Labor Represented Staff.
