Summary :

Under the direction of the Branch Manager, the Sourcing Specialist assists in effecting more efficient sourcing processes to save ccosts and maximize profitability.

The Sourcing Specialist will negotiate with suppliers to obtain goods, materials, and services at the best prices by using strategic sourcing strategies and extensive knowledge.

Sourcing Specialists' source best costs for quotes to potential and existing PENCOM customers.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities (including but not limited too) :

  • Sourcing suppliers globally and maintaining long-lasting relationships with them as well as existing suppliers
  • Implementing inventory optimization strategies within the company
  • Obtaining quotes from a global sourcing environment
  • Lead supplier cost down, initiatives and continuous improvements
  • Negotiating price, quantity, and delivery schedules with suppliers
  • Working with Sr. Director and / or legal counsel to ensure that all contracts relating to product procurement contain all details of the negotiation
  • Assessing quotes and compiling a detailed assessment of cost breakdowns
  • Generating quote comparisons, total cost analysis, and contributing to internal supplier selection based on the quotes
  • Providing solutions to improve company spending and outsourcing
  • Partners with sales to develop strategies to meet goals
  • Finds sources and samples as requested by sales
  • Duties, responsibilities, and activities may change at any time with or without notice by management

Skills / Knkowledge Required :

  • Proven experience in sourcing process
  • A thorough understanding of sourcing methodologies
  • Strong negotiation and communication (written / verbal) skills required
  • Sound time-management and organizational skills is a must
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Outlook)

Experience / Education Required :

Bachelor's degree or equivalent education in Administration, Logistics, Supply Chain or related field
