Certified Coding Specialist

A company is looking for a HIM Coding Specialist - PRN.

Key Responsibilities

Assign appropriate codes for all patient types and provider clinics, consulting with physicians and clinical staff as needed

Verify patient information and ensure accurate coding and data abstraction for financial reimbursement

Collaborate with various departments to ensure coding accuracy and compliance with documentation standards

Required Qualifications

One year of experience coding outpatient hospital accounts and / or Profee preferred

Certification required : RHIT, RHIA, CCS, CCS-P, or CPC

Knowledge of medicolegal matters and compliance with HIPAA and related policies

Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
