Design Assistant (Intern)

BIG is looking for talented architecture students who are eager to learn and develop their skills as Design Assistants (Interns) in our NYC office for 6 months starting in July of 2024 or later.

This opportunity is intended to give active students exposure to the operations of a professional architecture environment.

Candidates with a graduate degree are ineligible; candidates with a B.Arch who are not currently enrolled in a graduate program are also ineligible.

Those that are ineligible will not be considered.

Requirements :

  • Must be an architecture student with at least 3 years of school experience
  • Skilled in Rhino, Adobe Creative Suite and visualization i.e., Enscape, V-ray, etc.)
  • Experience with physical model making
  • A flexible attitude towards new ways of working
  • Ability to take initiative in response to direction or instructions
  • Great interpersonal communication skills
  • Available for at least 6 months

Compensation for Design Assistants is $18 per hour, plus overtime.
