National Account Manager, Government and Large Institutions

Position : As the National Account Manager of Government and Large Institutions, you will focus on securing contracts with local, state, and federal government agencies, as well as large institutions. This role involves extensive research, strategic relationship building, proposal development, and continuous improvement of our bid responses. The ideal candidate will be adept at navigating various bid sites, engaging with key stakeholders, and collaborating with internal teams to deliver compelling proposals. This position can be located in any of the following Ace markets : San Diego, Austin / San Antonio, Seattle, Upper Marlboro MD / DC or Cleveland.
Responsibilities
- Market research and opportunity identification; identify and cultivate strategic partnerships; stakeholder engagement; proposal development and submission; vendor and partner management.
- Identify and prioritize high-value institutions in Healthcare, Hospitality, and other verticals surrounding all locations.
- Conduct regular searches on bid sites for opportunities with local, state, and federal government agencies, as well as large institutions.
- Identify potential strategic partners and cultivate relationships to explore joint venture opportunities and expand market reach.
- Engage with prime contractors who hold large government contracts to explore subcontracting opportunities.
- Proactively seek out facility managers, procurement leads, operations executives, and other key stakeholders to introduce Ace’s commercial moving and logistics solutions.
- Position Ace Relocation as a trusted partner in the commercial projects sector—demonstrating agility, responsiveness, and personalized service.
- Manage the full sales cycle, from prospect identification to initial outreach, relationship cultivation, proposal development, and contract execution.
Qualifications
Technology Skills
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, Outlook).Proficient in utilizing bid sites.Familiarity with CRM software (HubSpot) or similar tools for maintaining customer records.Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)
5+ years of sales experience in business development, sales, or a similar role, preferably within government contracting or large institutional sales.Experience with FOI requests and interpreting government feedback.Knowledge of local, state, and federal government contracting procedures.Familiarity with the specific procurement needs of large institutions.Strong understanding of government procurement processes and regulations.Ability to build and recruit strategic partnerships; maintain clean driving record, driver license, and insurance.Reliable and presentable transportation; willingness to travel as needed.Proven ability to build and leverage professional networks to generate leads.Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills to establish and maintain strong relationships.Ability to identify and pursue business development opportunities aligned with company goals.Self-motivated, proactive, and comfortable in social settings; highly organized and detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple tasks.Employment type
