Job Description : As the Accounting Manager, you will play a crucial role in overseeing the financial operations of our client.
You will be responsible for managing the accounting team, ensuring accurate financial reporting, and providing strategic financial guidance to support the company's ambitious development goals.
Key Responsibilities :
- Financial Management :
- Oversee all aspects of the accounting function including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and financial reporting.
- Ensure timely and accurate preparation of financial statements, budgets, and forecasts.
- Monitor cash flow, manage project budgets, and provide financial analysis to support decision-making.
- Compliance and Controls :
- Ensure compliance with all relevant financial regulations and accounting standards.
- Develop and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure the integrity of financial records.
- Coordinate and manage annual audits and tax filings.
- Team Leadership :
- Lead, mentor, and develop the accounting team to ensure high performance and professional growth.
- Foster a collaborative and supportive team environment.
- Provide training and guidance on accounting best practices and new regulations.
- Strategic Planning :
- Partner with senior management to develop financial strategies and business plans.
- Analyze financial data to identify trends, opportunities, and potential risks.
- Support the evaluation and financing of new development projects.
Qualifications :
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or CMA certification preferred.
- Minimum of 5-7 years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 3 years in a supervisory role.
- Experience in real estate development or a related industry is highly desirable.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, and budgeting processes.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Yardi) and advanced Excel skills.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Strong leadership and communication abilities.
