Job Description :

ARDEX Americas () is a global leader in high-performance building solutions for substrate preparation floor covering tile and stone installation and architectural concrete systems. We develop and manufacture technically advanced products for commercial and residential use with a strong focus on customer-driven solutions and project reliability.

We are immediately hiring a SALES PROFESSIONAL to drive new and existing business through the NEW YORK METRO territory. The preferred home base location of WESTCHESTER / SOUTHERN CONNECTICUT is advantageous. You will have a proven record of winning and developing business with commercial contractors installers specifiers architects and other key influencers within the flooring or tiling installation industries.

This is a field sales position with daily territory travel including some : $80-$120k (base commission bonus).

Responsibilities :

  • Drive Sales Growth of ARDEX and Henry products
  • Generate Leads and win new business opportunities
  • Promote Products through hands-on demonstrations presentations and professional displays
  • Build Relationships with partner distributors specialist flooring / tiling contractors general contractors architects and key business influencers.
  • Field Service & Support including job start assistance bid preparation and distributor / installer training
  • Technical Expertise and technical recommendations liaising with our technical team for resources and solutions
  • Achieve Targets and exceed goals
  • Collaborate with corporate resources (Technical Customer Service Marketing Logistics) to deliver exceptional service to ARDEX customers
  • Exceptional Standards - represent ARDEX as the industry leader for exemplary professional standards and a customer first approach.

Sales Territory :

New York Metro Team territory includes :

  • The State of Connecticut
  • Metropolitan New York including New York City (Manhattan Brooklyn Queens Bronx and Staten Island)
  • Long Island (Nassau and Suffolk counties)
  • New York State counties : Westchester Orange and Rocklan
  • New Jersey counties : Bergen Essex Hudson Hunterdon Middlesex Monmouth Morris Ocean Passaic Somerset Sussex Union and Warren
  • Preferred home base : Westchester / Southern Connecticut

    Experience and Skills :

    What youll bring to ARDEX

  • Minimum 5 years outside sales experience is essential. Knowledge of flooring or tiling installation systems is required.
  • Technical proficiency and familiar with architectural specifications and construction design elements is essential.
  • High levels of business integrity ethics and good professional judgement
  • High level of energy and enthusiasm for the industry. Solution driven and customer focused
  • Must be able to conduct product presentations and demonstrations confidently and professionally
  • Must possess a valid drivers license and a clean driving record. Must be able to travel daily throughout assigned territory including some overnight.
  • Able to operate non power and power tools. Good mechanical or hands-on skills to meet the needs of intensive and physically demanding field support and service
  • Able to lift to 70 pounds on occasion with a carrying capability of 55 pounds.
  • Four (4) year college degree is preferred or minimum completed high school diploma with relevant industry work experience.
