Position Summary
We at A&H Truck repair are seeking a highly motivated and knowledgeable heavy duty Diesel Technician to join our team!
For over two decades A&H Truck repair has provided accurate repairs, ongoing maintenance and inspections for the Northeast Ohio region.
Essential Functions :
Duties can included but are not limited to :
- Responsible for troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, and repair on all makes of heavy duty tractors
- Diagnose, repair, adjust, and modify components as needed
- Perform PM Services
- Annual DOT inspections per company procedures and in accordance with FHWA regulations.
- Perform electrical diagnostics and make corresponding repairs
- Diagnosis and repairs of various air brake system and components
- Diagnosis and repair of ABS systems
- Diagnose and repairs of hydraulic clutch systems / drive train systems
- Diagnose and repair coolant system leaks
- Tire repair and replacement
- Road tests vehicle when required
- Document all work performed and recommended on the Repair Order
- Follows all safety policies, practice and procedures.
Qualifications :
- Mechanical knowledge (Preferred) or willing to learn
- Must have a valid driver’s license (Required) Class A CDL is a plus
- Must possess own hand tools, larger tools will be supplied
- Must have the ability to become forklift certified.
