Production Planning Intern
PacSci EMC an operating company of Ralliant is seeking a Production Planning Intern to join our Operations team. This internship is designed for students graduating in 20262027 who want hands-on experience in supply and demand planning, work order management, and manufacturing capacity analysis within the aerospace and defense industry.
Responsibilities :
- Assist with supply and demand planning deliverables to support manufacturing cells.
- Help generate and validate work orders using MRP processes, ensuring timely release to manufacturing.
- Support monitoring and maintenance of the Master Production Schedule, including identifying root causes for delays.
- Collaborate with Purchasing, Production, Receiving, Quality, and Engineering teams to track build plans, backorder status, and potential schedule interruptions.
- Contribute to daily stand-up meetings by providing exception-based reporting on supply variances.
- Assist in analyzing demand forecasts and supporting the Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) process.
- Help with inventory reallocation projects to support cost reduction strategies.
- Participate in continuous improvement projects and support cross-functional teams with progress tracking.
- Develop and maintain Excel-based tools for metrics, variance tracking, and risk assessment.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications :
Junior or senior standing in 2026 or 2027, currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; familiarity with ERP / MRP systems is a plus.Effective written and verbal communication skills; able to collaborate across functions.Strong analytical, problem-solving, and time management skills.Exposure to Lean, Six Sigma, or APICS / CPIM coursework is desirable but not required.Ability to adapt in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with limited guidance.Due to contractual and regulatory requirements, only U.S. citizens are eligible for this role.
