Job description
We are seeking a talented Jr Designer for lifestyle women's brand in OC area for in house contract up to 6 months. This Jr Designer will work on Women's Swim / Accessories categories including headwear, bags, backpack and apparel graphics.
- Oversee research and inspiration to create a cohesive swim, accessory design concept each season, review emerging trends and shapes, and research local markets.
- Develop flats and sketches for all CAD designs as part of a cohesive seasonal collection aligned with the brand's overall aesthetic and vision.
- Send out trend packs to direct vendors each season.
- Prepare all necessary components for accessory design presentations, such as sketch boards, proto reviews, and production meeting preparation.
- Collaborate with various cross-functional teams including Merchandising, Product Development, and Sourcing teams, and maintain strong business relationships with external partners.
- Creating CAD's, tech packs, recoloring prints, working with VP of Design and collaborating with internal teams
- Skilled in Adobe Creative Suite(Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign)
- 2+ years' experience developing concept within Women's swim / accessories categories from development through production
- Note this is in house contract up to 6 months
