Job Description :

The Associate Director of Operations is responsible for overseeing all aspects of production manufacturing and secondary packaging operations within the Jubilant HollisterStier Allergy Business Unit. This includes the manufacture of sterile and non-sterile products, ensuring compliance with OPEX and CAPEX budgets. The role requires ensuring operations adhere to all internal and external regulatory requirements, driving continuous improvement initiatives, and maintaining high standards of quality and safety. The Associate Director will be a key member of the management team, engaging with internal / external customers and regulatory bodies.

  • Ensure effective manufacturing and packaging plans are in place to meet service targets for on-time delivery and schedule adherence.
  • Maintain adherence to cGMP regulations, quality policies, regulatory requirements, and company policies.
  • Develop and implement quality improvement plans to meet FDA, European, and other regulatory guidelines.
  • Develop annual and long-range operating budgets for manufacturing and packaging, including process improvements and controls.
  • Lead the development and implementation of the site capital budget.
  • Maintain positive employee relations and address performance concerns promptly.
  • Identify, propose, and implement business improvements aligned with company goals and objectives.
  • Oversee new product introductions across all dosage forms and delivery systems.
  • Develop manufacturing strategies, capacity planning, and manage production schedules to ensure timely delivery and quality standards.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of manufacturing professionals.
  • Assist in employee development, recruiting, and training programs.
  • Create personal development plans for key employees and maintain succession plans with HR.
  • Ensure sales levels are achieved within operational budgets.
  • Optimize resource utilization, minimize waste, and ensure cost-effective production processes.
  • Identify manufacturing process improvements, implement new technologies, and drive continuous optimization.
  • Ensure adherence to safety policies, regulations, and environmental standards.
  • Communicate effectively with cross-functional teams to ensure collaboration and workflow efficiency.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications :

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Pharmacy, or related Scientific field; Master's in Business preferred.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in manufacturing leadership, with strong knowledge of cGMP regulations and industry practices.
  • Pharmaceutical experience in Production, Quality, or Technical roles; experience with aseptic processing and validation preferred.
  • Certifications in Lean Six Sigma, Project Management, or Management Effectiveness are a plus.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ERP systems (SAP preferred).
  • Strong GMP knowledge and understanding of non-compliance impacts.
  • Shift : Weekdays

    Compensation & Benefits :

    This is a full-time, on-site position in Spokane, WA, with a salary range of $129,500 - $188,400 annually, depending on experience. Benefits include health insurance, 401(k), paid time off, and more. Additional optional benefits are also available.
