Legends is seeking to fill full-time and part-time Barback positions for the new Rock & Martillo Restaurant located at The Rock at La Cantera.

The Role

The Barback is responsible for providing supplies and providing the bartender with items upon request that help assure exceptional guest service specifically in the Restaurant environment.

Chef Dady’s creative menu will showcase a harmonious fusion of traditional Tuscan flavors and the bold, vibrant tastes of South Texas, resulting in a uniquely unforgettable gastronomic journey. The name of the restaurant is inspired by the San Antonio Spurs mantra of “Pounding the Rock” with a nod to “Rock and Hammer.” Inspired by rich cultural heritage of San Antonio and the passion of its beloved basketball team.

Responsibilities :

The Barback is responsible for providing supplies and providing the bartender with items upon request that help assure exceptional guest service specifically in the Restaurant environment.

• Maintain a thorough knowledge of the bar's inventory, including spirits, liqueurs, fresh ingredients, and special garnishes.
• Ensure items are well stocked and readily available for bartenders.
• Keep the bar area impeccably clean and organized, wiping down surfaces, cleaning spills promptly, securing inventory and supplies, and disposing of trash.
• Collect, clean, and polish glassware, ensuring clear of watermarks and residue.
• Assist bartenders in preparing ingredients, following established recipes and guidelines.
• Perform opening and closing procedures, including cleaning and sanitizing the bar area.
• Provide exceptional customer service by engaging with guests, answering questions about ingredients and techniques, and offer menu recommendations.

Qualifications :

Practice safe work habits, follow all safety policies and procedures and regulations, complete company-wide safety training and any additional job specific safety training.
