This is an IT support groupSingapore, Michigan, SingaporeAbout Singapore Global Network
Singapore Global Network (SGN) is a division under EDB that manages a 140,000-strong international community comprising family, friends and fans of Singapore. At SGN, we are passionate about building connections and creating opportunities for both people and businesses. We aim to grow Singapore’s overseas networks by building meaningful relationships and communities among Singaporeans abroad, international talent, entrepreneurs, and community partners across the globe.
About the role
As part of the Community Building & Management team, you will play an active role in building, growing, and managing online communities anchored on common interests, professions, and / or location. Working in close partnership with institutional partners, community leaders, and internal stakeholders, you will help drive SGN’s community building efforts by co-developing programmes, content, and platforms to engage members and create opportunities for meaningful interactions.
What you will be working on
Key responsibilities include :
- Hands-on planning, execution and evaluation of community building strategies to drive digital community growth, engagement, and member retention.
- Understand the needs of communities and member segments to deliver a schedule of initiatives that engage members digitally, while also promoting online-to-offline connections. This could range from webinars, podcasts, e-newsletters, networking events, skills development, mentorship, community ambassador programmes, etc.
- Create and curate a calendar of community-specific content that addresses member needs and interests. This includes working with the community to develop user-generated content and community resources.
- Identify win-win partnerships with institutional partners and community groups to offer SGN’s platforms and engagement offerings as a means for partners to grow their communities.
- Cultivate relationships with community leaders to grow a network of highly engaged members, advocates and key opinion leaders who can be tapped on as contributors and connectors for the network.
- Build a positive SGN community experience and help shape an overall inclusive and supportive community culture.
- Be the friendly face of SGN among its digital communities to network with members and community leaders, moderate forums, help in addressing queries and facilitate connections where needed.
- Collaborate with internal teams to co-develop engagement initiatives and drive digital platform adoption.
- Adopt a data and insights-driven approach in tracking and reporting of KPIs. Obtain feedback, distil learnings, and provide recommendations for optimisation of community building efforts.
