Description : Clinical Director
Hanley Foundation, a non-profit organization based in West Palm Beach that aims to eliminate addiction through prevention, treatment, advocacy, and recovery support, seeks a Clinical Director to manage our expanding inpatient substance use and mental health treatment units. Thes is a full-time positions on-site in our West Palm Beach, Florida treatment center.
The Clinical Director will be responsible for the daily clinical management of a unit. If you are an experienced mental health / substance use professional, committed to providing quality care, and have a proven track record of leading successful treatment programs, we want you to join our growing team.
Main Duties & Responsibilities :
- Provide leadership and oversight for two residential treatment programs.
- Clinical Directors take full responsibility for their programs and work with the CCO and other directors to design, implement, and maintain excellence in Hanley's treatment programs.
- Clinical Directors work on an interdependent team and demonstrate a dedication to the highest levels of professionalism and mutual support.
- Manage clinical staff, including task assignment, training, individual supervision, and evaluation(s) of job performance.
- Oversee daily clinical issues, including but not limited to meeting with patients and families as deemed clinically appropriate, responsible for decisions regarding unusual discharges, and providing proactive direction to minimize crises.
- Complete monthly Quality Performance Indicator assessments.
- Promote the integration of a 12-step philosophy and a positive peer culture with patients, families, referrals, and Hanley employees.
- Coordinate and develop therapeutic presentations provided in the treatment unit.
- Provide psycho-educational presentations and co-facilitate groups as needed.
- Meet individually with patients when deemed clinically appropriate and provide clinical direction in crises as needed.
- Utilize the written plan and organizational benchmarks when further developing staff and program.
- Collaborate with Marketing, Accounting, Intake, Admissions, and Continuing Care departments to resolve problems and improve seamless continuum functioning.
- Ensure compliance of all state standards and accrediting bodies.
- Troubleshoot grievances and incident reports.
- Meet with families participating in FEP programs when necessary.
- Serve as the point person for all public speaking events.
- Serve as leader of the multidisciplinary treatment team. This includes being an active supervisor on your team and collaborating on interventions and extended referrals to ensure consistent internal and external customer service.
- Uphold all Hanley Foundation Health Care Policies and Procedures.
- Maintain patient / potential patient confidentiality following Hanley's Policy.
- Must be available outside of standard work hours to assist with mental health crises and other urgent patient needs.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Executive Team.
