Job Description
The Department of Criminology and Political Science at Texas A&M University-San Antonio is seeking to hire a part-time adjunct instructor to teach in its Criminology / Criminal Justice program. Applicants must have at least one year of university teaching experience. Appointment will begin in Fall . Continuation depends on course availability.
Required Education and Experience :
Master's degree in criminal justice or related field from an accredited university.
At least one year of university teaching experience.
Preferred Education and Experience :
At least three years of university teaching experience.
Doctoral degree in criminal justice or related field from an accredited university.
Record of teaching excellence
Finalists will be required to provide two current, original letters of recommendation to the search committee chair via email (sent directly from the recommender), or at the address listed below. Prior to issuing a letter of appointment, official transcripts must be received directly from each degree-granting institution by the Office of Academic Affairs, TAMU-SA, One University Way, San Antonio, TX . We cannot accept transcripts issued directly to the candidate. If transcripts are from an international institution, it is the responsibility of the prospective faculty member to have the transcript translated and evaluated by an approved credential evaluator. Selected candidates must pass a pre-employment background investigation to be hired for this position.
