Position Overview :

East Haven is seeking a dedicated and organized Dietary Aide Supervisor to oversee the evening meal service operations. The ideal candidate will ensure meals are prepared and served properly, maintain cleanliness standards, and support the dietary staff to provide high-quality service to our residents.

Responsibilities :

Supervise dietary aides during the 3p–7p shift

Ensure proper meal preparation and service in accordance with facility guidelines

Monitor food safety, sanitation, and hygiene practices

Assist in meal plating and service during peak periods

Check food trays for accuracy and quality before service

Maintain cleanliness and organization of kitchen and dining areas

Communicate effectively with kitchen staff, nursing staff, and management

Train new dietary aides on department procedures and expectations

Address and resolve any issues during the shift promptly

Complete and submit shift reports and documentation as required

Qualifications :

Previous experience as a dietary aide, food service supervisory role or nursing home experience required.

Knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations

Ability to lead a team and promote a positive work environment

Strong organizational and communication skills

Must be reliable, punctual, and detail-oriented

Ability to lift up to 25 pounds and stand for extended periods
