Electronics Engineer Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Electrical/Electronics Engineer with 6+ years of hands-on experience in PCBA design and development, embedded systems, analog/digital circuit design, and PCB layout using Cadence and/or Altium. The ideal candidate will be responsible for end-to-end product development, including concept generation, prototyping, testing, debugging, manufacturing support, and design validation. Strong expertise in board-level electronics, signal integrity, communication protocols, motor control systems, and EMC/ESD design is required.
Note: This opportunity is with J&J (through CTS). Candidates from both Medical Device and Non-MedTech industries will be considered. However, candidates must have a minimum of 6 years of relevant Electrical/Electronics Engineering experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead PCBA ideation, concept generation, design, prototyping, validation, manufacturing, and troubleshooting activities.
- Design and develop analog and digital electronic circuits for embedded products and systems.
- Create and review schematics, PCB layouts, and board-level designs using Cadence and/or Altium tools.
- Support full product lifecycle development from concept through production and sustaining engineering.
- Perform circuit simulation, testing, debugging, and failure analysis using oscilloscopes and other laboratory equipment.
- Ensure compliance with signal integrity, EMC/EMI, ESD, and reliability requirements.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including mechanical, software, manufacturing, quality, and supplier teams.
- Provide technical leadership, design reviews, risk assessments, and engineering recommendations.
- Support product verification, validation, manufacturing transfer, and design documentation activities.
Required Skills
- Minimum 6+ years of experience in Electrical/Electronics Engineering.
- Strong experience in PCBA design, prototyping, manufacturing, testing, and troubleshooting.
- Expertise in analog and digital circuit design and development.
- Hands-on experience with Cadence and/or Altium for schematic capture, simulation, and PCB design.
- Experience in embedded electrical system design.
- Strong debugging skills using oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and electronic test equipment.
- Solid understanding of board-level PCB design and signal integrity concepts.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and technical leadership skills.
- Ability to work effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
