Skills Required
Proficiency in using electronic test equipment, machine tools, and hand tools is a requirement. Specific skills include :
Skill in reading and interpreting electrical and mechanical drawings and sketches.
Fabricating, assembling, testing, and inspecting according to engineering drawings, sketches, and verbal instructions.
Perform testing and generate report data.
Capable of working in a group or team.
Knowledge of assembling electronic and mechanical equipment and components.
Assemble, modify, and fix circuit boards that have surface mount and through-hole components.
Fabricate electrical components from sketches / drawings and prepare samples for testing. Operate the necessary equipment to fulfil these duties.
Skills Preferred
Evaluate the design and specifications of the test equipment to ensure its suitability.
Perform tests or experiments that necessitate the selection, setup, operation, maintenance, calibration, troubleshooting, and repair of a wide variety of equipment.
Repairing electronic and electrical systems.
Identify the engineering / test data that needs to be collected, gather information, and perform calculations to analyze the test data.
Develop test procedures, conduct tests, record data, analyze data, and create reports.
Able to understand the manufacturing and quality requirements of IPC and IPC-610 or have knowledge of these requirements.
