Reese Law Group is seeking an Entry Level Associate Attorney. Experience is not necessary, and newly admitted attorneys are welcome, but we are looking for an attorney that wishes to seek a career in civil litigation. Candidates must be licensed in California.
Essential Job Functions
- Manage cases at all stages of litigation from pre-suit through judgment and develop strategies leading to efficient resolution of cases.
- Manage a hearing calendar and comply with strict court and client deadlines.
- Read, analyze, and summarize legal documents and present interpretations to fellow and / or supervisory attorneys, clients, courts and opposing counsel.
- Negotiate and settle cases-in-chief as well as pre-suit and post judgment accounts.
- Identify legal issues and recommend appropriate actions directly to clients.
- Respond to client inquiries in a timely and professional manner.
- Effectively, and timely respond to direction / instruction from supervisors, peers, subordinates, clients, and management.
- Satisfy MCLE requirements on an ongoing basis.
- Report to work in a regular and timely manner.
- Maintain a regular presence in the office and function as a resource for fellow attorneys and support staff such as paralegals, administrative assistants, collectors, and subrogation specialists.
- Other duties as assigned.
