Faculty Employment Opportunity

POSITION :

Head Women's Soccer Coach : The Department of Athletics invites applications for a full-time, non-tenure-track appointment as Head Coach – 12 Months within Collective Bargaining Unit 3. The head women's soccer coach will supervise at least one assistant coach, will coordinate recruiting for the program, coordinate and create scheduling and budget for the program, and will assist the Athletic Director in athletic fund raising for the program. Essential duties and responsibilities include : recruitment of student-athletes who will represent the University and the Athletics program at the highest level, develop games strategy, coordinate scheduling, assist student-athletes in academic matters, scout opponents, meet fundraising goals, manage approved budget, and understand and work within all NCAA and CCAA rules and regulations.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS :

A Bachelor's degree is required. Other minimum qualifications include : 2 - 3 years NCAA coaching experience at the four-year level. Excellent oral and written communication skills are required and a valid driver's license is required for travel, must pass defensive driving and DMV check.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS :

A potential candidate’s consideration will be enhanced by providing evidence of :

  • Thorough knowledge, and demonstrated experience, of the game of soccer and

coaching strategies to ensure athletics and academic success of team members

  • Through knowledge of organizational theory, practice, and procedures
  • Proven leadership in an environment that enhances community engagement and belonging
  • Ability to effectively communicate / present information and respond to questions
  • within campus and with outside constituencies

  • Work collaboratively and when appropriate, provide lead direction, with other athletic department coaches and staff
  • Working knowledge of alumni, development, and public affairs practices
  • Excellent organizational, community, and public relations skills
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, draw valid conclusions, and interpret an extensive variety of technical instruction
  • Preferred 3-5 years coaching experience at the NCAA level, 4-year level.
  • Master’s degree preferred
  • Ability to navigate social media, multimedia and go pro
  • Demonstrated ability to provide competent support in the administrative requirements
  • of a soccer program (travel coordination, reconciliation of documents, scheduling, and

    recruiting).

    Experience as a student-athlete.

    Demonstrated experience generating alternative streams of revenue, eg., scholarships, sponsorships, camp operations.

    CSU Stanislaus sponsors 14 intercollegiate athletic programs at the NCAA Division II level. The university sponsors the following intercollegiate athletic programs : M / W Soccer, M / W Cross Country, W. Volleyball, W. Indoor Track, M / W Basketball, Softball, Baseball, M / W Outdoor Track and Field, M. Golf, and W. Tennis. The programs participate in the highly competitive California Collegiate Athletic Association with 11 other institutions in state, expanding to 14 total institutions Fall 2026.

    CRIMINAL BACKGROUND CLEARANCE NOTICE
