Job descriptionInstrument Processing & Sterilization Operate and maintain CSPD equipment (e.g., autoclaves, washer decontaminators, ultrasonic units). Ensure aseptic technique, universal precautions, and proper PPE usage. Maintain accurate sterilization records and cleanliness of work area. Inventory & Resource Management Coordinate repairs / replacements with Materials Management. Use resources efficiently and report low supplies promptly. Team Support Provide emergency assistance as directed. Train and orient new staff as a role model and preceptor. Customer Service Demonstrate professionalism, confidentiality, and positive communication.

Schedule : M-F, 8a-5p or 9a-6p
Required Qualifications & Experience :
- High School Diploma
- Graduate of an accredited central sterile processing tech program
- Minimum 3 years of experience as a sterile processing technician in an Ambulatory Surgery Center or hospital is required.
- American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS)
- CSPDT – Certified Sterile Processing and Distribution Technician issued by Certification Board for Sterile Processing and Distribution (CBSPD)
- Knowledge of AAMI & AORN standards and recommendations. Clear understanding of
- sterilization process.
Job Summary :
Responsible for the proper processing, sterilization, and maintenance of surgical instruments and equipment, ensuring compliance with AAMI ST 79 and AORN guidelines. Supports surgical teams by maintaining inventory, assisting with supply management, and providing exceptional customer service.
Key Responsibilities :
Decontaminate, inspect, and sterilize instruments per manufacturer instructions.
Monitor and maintain approved inventory levels.
Assist with stocking, preparation, and waste management.
Collaborate with physicians and nurses to meet service needs.
