Job Title : Manual Machinist

Responsibilities

• Operate manual machining equipment, including lathes, milling machines, and grinders.
• Utilize and follow detailed work instructions, reading and interpreting blueprints, drawings, or specifications.
• Perform repair and modification work on worn or damaged components.
• Use measuring instruments, both in the shop and on aircraft, to ensure accuracy and quality.
• Collaborate with engineers and other team members to develop innovative solutions.
• Perform inspections and quality checks to ensure compliance with specifications and standards.
• Assist with aircraft structures III work, including assembly, installation, and repair tasks.
• Ensure fabrication is completed on time while maintaining accuracy and safety standards.
• Set up machines, select tooling, and monitor quality throughout the machining process.

Work Environment

The position is based in a military hangar and requires flexibility to work any shift. Shifts include 1st Shift : M-F 5 : 30am-2 : 30pm and 2nd Shift : M-F 2pm-10 : 30pm. The environment is an open-bay, non-climate controlled space, and team members can expense $100 per year for steel-toed shoes.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $40.00 / hr.
