Job descriptionSort and disseminate proformas at the beginning of each month. Perform proforma edits and create draft bills, then final bills, including multi-payor bills. Process e-bill submissions for clients that require submission via a third-party ebilling site. Monitor status of billing (i.e. making sure all billing attorneys have returned their edited proformas with billing instruction.) This includes monitoring e-billing submissions to ensure they have been submitted successfully. Maintain and update special instructions related to billing attorneys' needs in generating their bills. Maintain official client billing files and keep filing current. Individual should have at least one year of legal billing experience in a law firm or other professional services organization. Proficiency in Outlook, Word and Excel Ability to organize and prioritize numerous tasks and complete them under time constraints. Excellent interpersonal skills required to communicate in person, by e-mail and telephone and follow instruction effectively from a diverse group of attorneys, clients and staff and to provide information timely with courtesy and tact.
