As a Mechanical Systems Simulation Engineer on the Ample team, you will work on cutting edge battery and robotic systems for mass production. Our ideal candidate loves solving challenging problems for real-world applications. You will work in close collaboration with mechanical, electrical, mechatronics, thermal and test engineers towards the design and development of the next generation battery modules and charging / swapping systems.
What You'll Do :
- Multi-body system modeling for modal, static, transient, fatigue, explicit, crash simulation
- Hyper-elastic material, sheet metal modeling for explicit, crash and crush simulation
- Provide static and transient structural safety assessment and design improvement direction
- Conduct durability evaluations based on modal, vibration, impact & fatigue
- Evaluate safety under crash & crush events (LS-Dyna, explicit simulation)
- Help guide experimental validation and testing from simulation results
What You'll Bring :
Minimum of 3 years industrial or academic work experience with structural / durability / crash simulations
