Hands-on experience with TeamConnect , Collaborati , or similar eBilling platforms. Experience with matter management and legal operations systems. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with exceptional attention to detail. Excellent communication and collaboration abilities with cross-functional teams and external law firms. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and reporting tools. bility to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Prior experience in a corporate legal department or law firm setting. Understanding of legal budgets, accruals, and spend management . Familiarity with TAP workflow automation (design, testing, and administration).
Legal Operations Analyst (eBilling Specialist)
Location : Remote (U.S.)
Pay Rate : $26-$28 per hour (W2)
Assignment Length : 5-month contract with potential to extend or convert to full-time
Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented Legal Operations Analyst to join a dynamic Legal Operations team for a leading insurance organization. This role focuses on electronic billing (eBilling), matter management, and outside counsel engagement. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, experience with eBilling platforms, and a customer-service mindset to effectively support internal stakeholders and external law firms.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage daily eBilling operations, including invoice submission, validation, and approval workflows.
- Oversee onboarding and maintenance of outside counsel firms within TeamConnect , including rate submissions and compliance with billing guidelines.
- Serve as the primary contact for outside counsel and vendors regarding billing inquiries, system troubleshooting, and invoice processing.
- Monitor eBilling queues, resolve exceptions, and escalate complex issues when necessary.
- Generate and analyze reports on legal spend, accruals, budgets, and law firm performance.
- Collaborate with Legal Operations leadership to optimize processes, enhance reporting, and improve system efficiency.
- Ensure compliance with corporate eBilling policies and outside counsel engagement terms.
- Provide excellent customer service and maintain strong working relationships across departments and external partners.
